The Project Discovery Career Education and Transition System is a series of hands-on kits designed to provide learners of all ages with a realistic approach to career education and transition. Students actually get to experience real job tasks with real tools of the trade as they learn about their interests and abilities in a fun and meaningful manner!
Project Discovery is built upon a foundation of research on the effectiveness of applied, hands-on instruction in career education and skills training. Effective instructional methods that address multiple learning styles provide support for at-risk and special populations. There are many evidence-based practices incorporated into the curriculum.
Project Discovery includes hundreds of activities for different reading/functioning levels and provides dynamic support for learners with the most challenges.
Everything we offer is differentiated into two reading levels. Our Adapted curriculum has additional supports, including video modeling clips for every activity!
With the assistive audio technology supports included in the career exploration kit components, students can experience success across all levels.
Our programs truly integrate career and technical education with academics as students discover the academic skills needed to perform job tasks. This encourages and motivates students to stay in school and further their education to help reach their goals! This full day (5-6 hours) of in-person, hands-on professional development provides educators a thorough understanding of the program and key implementation strategies. To maximize effectiveness, the nationally-certified trainer adapts each session to the Project Discovery or Achieve Life Skills curriculum on site.
This product orientation is a 60-90-minute session conducted live over Zoom by a nationally-certified trainer. Professional development is tailored to the purchased curriculum. It includes toll-free phone support and a site support survey.
This series of eight training videos includes over 75 minutes of detailed product orientation. It is constructed to give all customers an introduction to our curriculum and an overview for implementing specific series and products. These videos are delivered via secure link and are available indefinitely for the continued benefit of administrator and instructors.
